A client wanted insights into seamless retail to fuel its innovation pipeline. My team curated an inspirational, cross-category shopping safari with ten of the most digitally transformative retail brands in NYC.

How we did it

Leading four safari teams, we assessed and compared what new customer journeys, in-store experiences, and digital services were being meaningfully deployed.

We used our findings to determine best practice criteria and optimal innovation mix for our client.

With this roadmap in place, we developed 30 innovation concepts across product, service, store experience and community platforms. Ideas ranged from new app and in-store wayfinding, to interactive kiosks, synchronized promos, pop-up tutorials, and DIY contractor referral boards for activation over 1, 3, and 5 years.
